Quiet ops.
Only the exceptions a founder must approve.

Tallymark is the AI ops for founders — a quiet bookkeeping layer beneath QuickBooks, Gmail, Slack, Notion and Linear. It drafts a weekly brief, surfaces the exceptions a founder must sign off on, and routes everything else away so you get paid faster.

Outcomes

Three things Tallymark surfaces that a founder has to sign off on.

Not a digest — a named, observable exception each time, in one of three bins: cash, vendor, deadline. What a buyer would scan in five seconds, with the two next moves already attached.

Vendor

A vendor replies outside last week’s contract clause — surface, draft a reply, ask to escalate or send.

Deadline

A milestone slips past its 7-day at-risk mark — surface once, with the three blocking tickets, asking for a re-baseline.

Cash

A cash position shifts two weeks earlier than forecast — surface, name the cause, ask for sign-off in 20 seconds.

Four pillars

Four things Tallymark does, every week, in the background.

Each pillar is a single outcome a founder cares about, written the way a buyer describes it. Read them in order; the page is laid out that way for a reason.

Cash

Overdue invoice chasing

Tallymark drafts and sends the follow-up on every unpaid invoice so you get paid faster.

Cash

Cash-risk flagging

Watch QuickBooks daily. Surface the cash crunch the moment it appears, not at month-end.

Brief

Weekly ops brief

One weekly summary. Every exception. Nothing else.

Quiet

Quiet layer · noise reduction

Slack threads, FYI CCs, vendor auto-replies — all filtered. You see only the exceptions a founder must approve.

What you actually see

Three kinds of exception. Each one is something you can sign off in 20 seconds.

The point of Tallymark is not “brief the founder more”. It is the opposite: a sharper signal under the noise. We only route cash, vendor, or deadline exceptions — the three cognitive bins where a human founder has to make a decision.

Cash exception

Q2 runway shifted two weeks earlier than forecast.

Stripe payouts landed a week late; QuickBooks caught AR going past 90 days for a $14k account. Both surfaced for sign-off. You approve a new collection email and Tallymark drafts it.

What you skip

The unread list stays unread.

Pilotier, Agentra, Marblism and Copilot all market themselves as “the founder's AI ops layer”. The metric they cite is volume — weekly reports, daily digests, briefings. Tallymark's metric is the opposite: how many pieces of noise don't reach you because a human doesn't need to.

Quiet matters more than loud. Below is what a typical week sounds like with Tallymark routing the exception load, instead of a chatty weekly report.

Field notes on what we're learning routing this signal live on /blog

  • Another "weekly all-hands" recap.

Nothing in it needed you specifically.

  • 12 Slack threads about a savings tier.

A teammate is on it. No money, no vendor, no deadline.

  • Three Linear sprint updates in a row.

Fluctuating motion in the noise band.

  • A Q&A churn report you already saw.

Same shape as last week; the exception is "no exception".

Integrations

Five tools. Probably the ones you already pay for.

Tallymark connects read-only on the tools small businesses already run on, and waits for an exception before it ever writes anything. The integration set stays small on purpose.

We sit at the low end of the AI-SMB stack by design. Agentra is the public reference at $249/mo, anchoring above us; horizontal copilots are bundled with suites, not standalone. The free tier is the same product, capped at a few connected tools.

  • Connect your tools; no sales call, no setup fee.
  • Read-only on day one; writes only when you approve.
  • Cancel anytime — week-to-week is the deal we sell ourselves.

Common questions

A few things founders ask first.

If yours isn't here, send a note via the contact form.

What counts as an exception?

A change in cash position, an in-flight vendor or contract change, or a deadline that has slipped past your own threshold. Everything else gets summarised, filed, or skipped.

Why only the books, inbox and project tools?

Early-stage SMB operations sit on top of those three surfaces. Watching more usually means watching less carefully, and signal drops.

Is this a replacement for my bookkeeper or VA?

No. Tallymark drafts and routes things for them and for you; you stay the one who signs off. It is a layer that lives between your tools and your inbox.

How is this different from Microsoft Copilot or Agentra?

Copilot surfaces everything in your tenant. Agentra gives you a daily briefing. Tallymark is built around what it does not bother you with — the wedge is routing, not volume.
